Office of Research and Accountability - Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is the national data collection system for higher education, and the Office of Research and Accountability serves as the coordinator for New Jersey.

The majority of New Jersey's institutions participate in our Student Unit Record (SURE) system. From some of these institutional data submissions, OSHE uploads required survey data to the federal IPEDS data collection system. In addition to completing surveys during the three IPEDS web-based collections, New Jersey institutions are required to complete additional state-specific forms via an email submission in Excel format. The schedule for this year's reporting cycle is as follows:
