Project: Smart Choices for Healthy Living
Goal: Utilize the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) K-12 Education and Prevention Curriculum in schools, after school programs, CBOs, and school districts serving target municipalities in order to prevent intellectual and developmental disabilities by reducing the incidence of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. PMCHNNJ will also provide screening and early intervention education to school nurses and prevention education to college students.
Target Demographic: Students in K-12 Educational Settings, School Nurses and College Students.
Agency: New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (NJ AAP)
Project: Childhood Lead Poisoning Education ECHO Program
Goal: Educate primary care clinicians and community stakeholders about the importance of prevention, early identification and referral of children with elevated blood lead levels. Additionally, the program will also educate pediatric providers about the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) remediation program so that they can refer families to receive free home inspections to identify potential sources of lead.

Agency: Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN)
Project: Leaders Empowered as Advocates with Dignity (LEAD)
Goal: Provide leadership training and education, and community engagement to prevent intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DDs), specifically Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FAS/FASD).
Target Demographic: Women and Men of Childbearing Age.
