IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please be advised that the New Jersey State Board of Mediation will be

increasing the maxium per diem fee charged by its arbitrators

from $1500 to $1650 effective July 1, 2025.

 Only cases assigned after July 1, 2025 will be assigned the new rate.

In keeping with our longstanding tradition, the NJSBM has made a conscious effort to limit th erates that our Panel Arbitrators may charge for cases assigned through our agency. The increase reflects careful consideration and evaluation of various factors, including the affordability of arbitration services for our constituents, as well as our collective need to attract and retain skilled arbitrators on the NJSBM panel. As you may know, many of the arbitrators on our panel earn much higher rates independently or by working through other agencies. Additionally, the NJSBM does not charge adminsitrative fees and, subject to limitations on space, provides conference rooms at our Newark location for NJSBM matters at no cost.
