Lisa Avichal’s work primarily focuses on assisting municipalities in their efforts in achieving consistency with the goals and policies outlined in the State Plan. Prior to joining the Office of Planning Advocacy Lisa served as a Planner Trainee at NJ Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Climate Resilience Planning, where she worked on municipal planning engagement activities. As a student, Lisa had the opportunity to intern at Rutgers Gardens where she received hands-on experience on how green spaces operate and serve a community.
