Another method of regeneration of the
site is accomplished by planting stecklings which are
rooted cuttings of Atlantic-white cedar. These are
grown at our state forest tree
nursery in Jackson, NJ. Photo 3 to the right shows
seedlings in the NJFS green house.
Depending on the amount seedlings needed
due to a lack of natural regeneration, approximately
1,200 can be planted per acre. |
