Speed Limits For State Roads

Route I - 78
(a) The rate of speed designated for the certain parts of State Highway Route I-78 described in this subsection are hereby established and adopted as the maximum legal rate of speed:
1. In Warren County:
NOTE: State Highway Route I-78 is under Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) jurisdiction from approximate mileposts 0.00 to 4.16.
NOTE: State Highway Route I-78 is coincident with State Highway Route US 22 from approximate mileposts 4.16 to 18.34.
i. In the Township of Greenwich:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH between the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission-New Jersey Department of Transportation jurisdictional line and the Greenwich Township corporate line-Franklin Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 4.16 to 6.90); thence
ii. In the Township of Franklin:
(1) For both directions of traffic:
(A) Zone 1: 65 MPH within the corporate limits (approximate mileposts 6.90 to 7.05); thence
2. In Hunterdon County:
NOTE: State Highway Route I-78 is coincident with State Highway Route US 22 from approximate mileposts 4.16 to 18.34.

(B) Zone 2: 65 MPH between  1540 feet west of Main Street (County Route 577) and the Springfield Township – Millburn Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 49.78 to 50.23); thence
(C) Zone 3: 65 MPH between the Springfield Township – Millburn Township corporate line and Springfield Township – Union Township corporate line (approximate mileposts 50.48 to 50.58); thence
