Larry L. Bembry is an Assistant Corporation Counsel of the Law Department for the City of Jersey City.  He is also Of Counsel with the law firm of Timins, Beacham and Hughes, located in Livingston, New Jersey. 

Mr. Bembry is the former Director of Grants Administration and Compliance for the City of Jersey City.  He has also served as staff counsel for the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and the New Jersey Real Estate Commission, and was subsequently appointed the first Ombudsman to the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance by Governor James Florio.

Mr. Bembry has worked with several private non-profit organizations, including the Urban League of Hudson County and Newark Fighting Back – an organization dedicated to reducing substance abuse in the city of Newark

Mr. Bembry earned a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, a Masters of Arts degree in Sociology from New Jersey City University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University Law School.
