(TRENTON) – The 2015 New Jersey Equine and Agriculture Expo will be held May 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Horse Park of New Jersey at Stone Tavern, 626 Route 524, Allentown. The Expo, sponsored by the New Jersey Equine Advisory Board, will be held in conjunction with the 2015 Jersey Fresh Three Day event.

For kids, there will be a petting farm and pony rides. The Allentown FFA will be selling plants and flowers, as well as teaching children to plant seeds that the kids will be able to keep. The State 4-H will be offering Jersey Fresh Three Day Event logo merchandise, face painting, and agricultural games.

The Pony Club will be hosting quiz competitions and a team presentation. Additionally, there will be interactive exhibits about horses and agriculture.

There are 96,000 acres in New Jersey devoted solely to equine operations and the state’s 42,500 horses and related service industries add $3.2 billion dollars annually to the state’s economy.
