New Jersey Infrastructure Investment Tracker

New Jersey Infrastructure Investment Tracker

Governor Phil Murphy

With the enactment of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), New Jersey has an extraordinary opportunity to reimagine and transform its aging infrastructure, protect its natural resources, and address longstanding inequities experienced by underserved communities throughout the state. NJ has developed this website to track BIL formula funding to monitor and measure the impact of the many BIL programs on Governor Murphy’s goals for equity and sustainability in improving the lives of NJ’s residents.

The NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT), NJTransit (NJT), the NJ Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) have provided program and project information, funded through BIL, that has been incorporated into this website to allow the public to measure the progress being made on improving NJ’s infrastructure.  The information provided by NJDOT, NJT, NJBPU and NJDEP is represented in a dashboard format that encompasses project locations and descriptions, phases of work, funding allocations and funding expended, and is intended to provide the public with insight into how BIL funds are used statewide.  Also included on this website is a Stories page which highlights projects being funded through BIL Discretionary programs to further illustrate how BIL funding is making positive impacts on all users of New Jersey’s infrastructure.

The BIL passed with bipartisan support from New Jersey’s Congressional Delegation and was signed into law by President Biden in November 2021.

The White House's guide to the BIL can be found at www.whitehouse.gov/build/.
