At each Open House, individuals will also have the opportunity to meet with officers from specialized units and learn more about the many a variety of unique career paths within the Department.
Career paths at NJDOC include positions within the nine NJDOC facilities, along with a variety of specialty tracks, including:
- Special Operations Group – specializing in K-9s, designated marksmen and critical incident negotiation
- Special Investigations Division – specializing in investigations, fugitive and corrections intelligence
- Office of Emergency Management – providing advanced security planning for high profile events
