During 2024, UEZA has approved Wildwood’s UEZ Boardwalk Rehabilitation Phase III Project, and it has been vital to Wildwood and its UEZ business community. Maintaining a vibrant Boardwalk is important to stimulate broader economic growth in both the Wildwoods and Cape May County. The success of businesses near the Boardwalk, which are all in the UEZ, largely depends on effective strategies to draw in visitors. A revamped Boardwalk is a direct investment in the region's tourism infrastructure, ensuring it remains an attractive destination for visitors. This not only helps businesses directly linked to the Boardwalk but also spills over to other sectors, especially hospitality, thereby amplifying the economic benefits. Furthermore, a rejuvenated Boardwalk acts as a catalyst for job creation. The tourism industry, with its diverse array of businesses from hotels/motels to eateries to souvenir shops, is a significant employer in the area. By enhancing the appeal of the Boardwalk, we are effectively ensuring that these businesses continue to thrive, retaining the jobs of thousands who depend on them. Moreover, a modern, attractive Boardwalk can act as a magnet for new business ventures, fostering an environment where entrepreneurs are encouraged to invest and innovate, leading to further employment opportunities.

Supported by Mayor Hector Lora, the program aims to promote healthy lifestyles and improve transportation access. With 25 bikes available across five stations, residents can easily explore the city by downloading the "On Bike Share" app and using the promo code PUEZFREE. The initiative is part of a broader wellness campaign and includes plans to develop a comprehensive Bicycle Master Plan.
