Coastal Zone Management Rules

PUBLIC NOTICE
Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection is proposing amendments to the Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:7. The Department is proposing to amend the boundaries reflected on coastal wetland maps applicable to Lower Alloways Creek Township, Salem County. This rulemaking reflects the Department’s determination of current conditions in coastal wetlands reflected on Coastal Wetlands Maps 224-1758, 231-1752, and 231-1758 in response to a petition for rulemaking filed by PSE&G Power, LLC (see 54 N.J.R. 101(c)). The proposed amendments will amend the coastal wetlands boundaries on the petitioner’s property and the adjacent property owned by the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ (“USACOE”), which the petitioner is acquiring.
 

The proposal is scheduled to be published in the New Jersey Register dated March 21, 2022. The Department will be holding a public hearing on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 10:00 A.M.  The hearing will be conducted virtually through the Department’s video conferencing software, Microsoft Teams. The hearing will remain open until all testimony has been heard and will be recorded.
