Dillon Chorba
Dillon Chorba serves as the Chief of Staff for the New Jersey Department of Veterans Affairs, where he manages the department’s strategic planning, advises the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs, and manages day-to-day operations of the department. In this role, Mr. Chorba helps oversee the 1,200+ dedicated public servants that serve the Garden State’s Veterans community.
Before joining the Department, he served The Adjutant General and Deputy Commissioner of Veterans Affairs as the state’s Executive Officer of Veterans Affairs. Prior to joining the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Mr. Chorba served as a Chief of Staff in the New Jersey State Legislature. There he led the office’s daily operations, strategic planning, and constituent services. Before his time in state government, he spent years in various capacities managing and overseeing business partnerships in the technology sector. Notably, his portfolio included several New Jersey state agencies. Mr. Chorba brings a background with experience in both the public and private sectors, as well as years in several leadership capacities.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University. In addition, Mr. Chorba currently serves in the New Jersey Army National Guard, where he is the graduate of several U.S. Army leadership courses.
Mr. Chorba is proud to continue his service to the United States and New Jersey in this position. He is dedicated to doing all that he can to ensure every New Jersey Veteran receives the benefits, programs, and services they have rightly earned.
