Menlo Park Staff Celebrated with Five-Star Appreciation Luncheon
The New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Menlo Park recently paused to recognize the people behind its success, hosting a special five-star employee appreciation luncheon on March 11, 2026, in Edison, New Jersey.
The event brought together staff from across the home to celebrate their extraordinary commitment to the veterans they serve, a commitment that was key to the facility earning a prestigious five out of five-star rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This distinction reflects the highest level of quality in long-term care and stands as a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and compassion demonstrated by the Menlo Park team each day.
The luncheon was catered by Feeding Our Heroes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders through meals and acts of appreciation. Department of Veterans Affairs leadership, alongside Senator Joseph Vitale and Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak served food to the staff throughout the day during lunch breaks. Employees were recognized not only for achieving this milestone, but for the countless daily acts of care, respect, and dignity they provide to the residents who call Menlo Park home.
From clinical teams to support staff, every member of the Menlo Park community plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and high-quality environment for New Jersey’s veterans. Their work ensures that those who served our nation continue to receive the care and recognition they deserve. As the Department of Veterans Affairs continues its work across the state, the Menlo Park team stands as a powerful example of what it means to serve with purpose and pride.
