This office focuses on the following areas:

• Certification - The office processes, reviews, and evaluates all pertinent information relating to individuals' eligibility for certification.  It issues initial, provisional, and standard certificates to qualified Pre-K through Grade 12 educators.  The office also issues high school equivalency diplomas to qualified individuals and educational qualification certificates to morticians and chiropractors.
• Educator Induction - The office coordinates the induction of new public school educators through the provisional teacher process and school administrator process.
• Certification Appeals and Revocation - The office supports the State Board of Examiners, which hears appeals of certification decisions and which can revoke or suspend educator certificates.
