WIDA ACCESS
New Jersey, as a member of the WIDA Consortium, uses the WIDA ACCESS suite of assessments as a tool to measure multilingual learner (ML) proficiency in the English language. Students are assessed in four domains: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.
WIDA ACCESS is the collective name for WIDA's suite of summative English language proficiency assessments. WIDA ACCESS is given annually to MLs in kindergarten through grade 12.
The WIDA ACCESS suite of assessments includes:
- WIDA ACCESS for Kindergarten
- WIDA ACCESS (grades 1-12)
- WIDA Alternate ACCESS (grades K-12 - for students with the most significant intellectual disabilities)
