Academic Qualifying Credential (AQC) for Mortuary Science and Chiropractic Licenses
Issued by the Commissioner of Education to applicants for mortuary science and chiropractic licenses. The AQC is issued to individuals regulated by licensing authorities under the supervision of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs and certifies that the applicants have completed their preliminary academic education.
Each applicant for a mortuary science or chiropractic license shall satisfy preliminary academic education criteria, as required by the respective licensing authorities under the supervision of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
Applicants for the AQC shall submit official transcripts as evidence they have completed the preliminary academic education required for the certificate’s issuance.
Requirements:
- Chiropractic - Complete 60 semester-hour credits from a two- or four-year accredited college or university.
- Mortuary (60-credit) - Complete 60 semester-hour credits from a two- or four-year accredited college or university.
- Mortuary (90-credit) - Complete 90 semester-hour credits from a two- or four-year accredited college or university.
