Pathways for CTE Teachers: Traditional Route Program
Designed for those who have completed a formal teacher preparation program at an accredited college or university and wish to become a New Jersey certified teacher.
Traditional route teachers earn a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS).
Applicants may use a teacher education degree with a concentration in the occupational area of the endorsement to apply for a CTE certificate for the following endorsements:
Agriculture
Business Education/Business-Related Technologies
Family and Consumer Sciences
These endorsements are not restricted to teaching within CTE programs of study.
