Student Voice Summit 2020

The Student Voice Summit is a collaboration between the New Jersey Department of Education and Middlesex County College. The Summit will take place on April 3, 2020, from 9 am to 2 pm. It will be an exciting time of collaboration for students and their adult allies.




2020 NJDOE Statewide Conference

Equity in Action: Strengthening Teaching, Leading and Learning in Unprecedented Times

A Virtual Unconference Experience.

The Office of Professional Learning, in partnership with the Long Branch Public School District, will host the New Jersey Department of Education’s (NJDOE) second annual statewide equity event, “Equity in Action: Strengthening Teaching, Leading and Learning in Unprecedented Times – A Virtual Unconference.” This virtual event will be held August 4, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

The virtual unconference is designed to respond to inequities brought to light during the pandemic, place a greater focus on tangible strategies for educators to implement immediately, and influence the equity and social justice work that is rapidly growing statewide. 




2020 Students For Inspiring & Recognizing School Safety & Support Teams (F.I.R.S.T.) Conference

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) will be hosting the Students For Inspiring and Recognizing School Safety and Support Teams (F.I.R.S.T.) Conference on June 12, 2020 to explore best practices, provide comprehensive approaches, and identify resources for school safety and support teams within local education agencies (LEAs) throughout New Jersey.
