The district uploads the ESEA Nonpublic Affirmation of Consultation form in NJDOE Homeroom. If the nonpublic school elects not to participate in an ESEA program, upload a completed and signed ESEA Nonpublic School Participation Refusal Affirmation in NJDOE Homeroom. May – end of June or when spring consultation is complete
Entitlement figures for Federal programs (IDEA and ESEA) NJDOE provides entitlement figures to districts. May – June
ESEA Application The district submits the ESEA application in EWEG. Before July 1
Services and purchased products The district or service provider begins services for eligible students. Purchased products are delivered to nonpublic schools. July 1
Notification of ESEA carryover funds The district notifies the nonpublic school of the carrover amount once the final report is received. Mid-October – mid-November
Consultation for expenditure of ESEA carryover funds The district consults with the nonpublic school to plan for the expenditure of the carryover funds. Mid-October – mid-November (within three weeks of notification of ESEA carryover funds)
