Cardiac Assessment Module
The Cardiac Assessment Module is to be completed by all healthcare providers prior to any student-athlete physical examination. Healthcare providers should retain a copy of the certificate of completion for their files. They are not required to provide a copy of the certificate to any public or nonpublic school.

Seizure Training for School Personnel
School district staff must complete one of the following New Jersey Department of Health approved training courses:
In New Jersey, a certified school nurse must complete specific requirements and be licensed not only by the New Jersey Board of Nursing but by the Department of Education. Registered nurses may be used to supplement the services of the certified school nurse.

New Jersey School Physicians must be licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy. The school physician plays a critical role in shaping the services provided in the school and supporting the delivery of school health services through sound protocols and procedures.
