The Office of Special Education (OSE) is excited to announce the 2nd Annual New Teacher Academy 2026 (NTA 2026)! This year, the two-day professional learning event, hosted at the Learning Resource Center Central (LRC-Central) in Trenton, NJ, will be expanded to include Preschool educators.  

In collaboration with Montclair State University’s New Jersey Preschool Inclusive Education Project (NJPIEP), OSE is proud to introduce the 1st Annual Preschool New Teacher Academy 2026, designed to support and strengthen early-career preschool educators.  Guided by the theme "Building Strong Starts. Creating Lasting Impact” NTA 2026 reflects OSE’s continued commitment to fostering professional growth, collaboration, and long-term success for educators serving students with disabilities. Designed to support educators in their first through third years of teaching, the New Teacher Academy offers high-quality, impactful professional learning experiences that emphasize research-based, high-leverage, and inclusive practices. This year’s NTA will feature engaging, hands-on activities tailored to meet the needs of new teachers across a variety of educational settings. In addition to the in-person experience, participants will be invited to attend four virtual professional learning community (PLC) meetings. Registration is limited, and early sign-up is encouraged.
