Remembering The Honorable Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver
As a trailblazer, Lieutenant Governor Oliver helped to ensure that the future of "Jersey Girls" is limitless and free of many of the obstacles that faced girls when she was born in 1952. Now, children across the state can enjoy opportunities made possible by her work.
To honor Lieutenant Governor Oliver's story, her service, and her sacrifice, we - all those who call New Jersey home - should strive to move our state forward.
There is a heightened call to action for all of us who were not envisioned in the liberty and prosperity promised in 1787, to serve and sacrifice not only to preserve but to extend the opportunities that the LG fought for.
Lieutenant Governor, thank you for your service, well done.
Thank you for taking the time, to meet, listen, and work on behalf of the voiceless, LG.
Thank you for leaving us better than you found us, LG.
We press on to ensure that your legacy lives on.
