Governor Murphy Directs U.S. and New Jersey Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Remembrance of September 11

09/10/2018

TRENTON – Governor Phil Murphy today has ordered that U.S and New Jersey flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities on Tuesday, September 11 in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 innocent people, almost 700 of whom were residents of New Jersey, who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attacks.

“Seventeen years after the devastating terrorist attacks that shook the nation to its core, we remember those lives lost on September 11, 2001,” said Governor Murphy. “Today, as we do every day, we also honor the brave and selfless first responders who committed extraordinary acts of heroism during that tragic day.”
