“Tammy and I are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Webster ‘Dan’ Todd, Jr., brother of former Governor Christine Todd Whitman and a dear personal friend of ours. Dan was a recognized expert in the aviation field, working for numerous airlines and as a past Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board.
“Dan gave much back to New Jersey throughout his life, serving as a volunteer fireman in his hometown of Oldwick and representing Somerset County in the Assembly, among numerous other posts. He was also a noted conservationist, and both he and Tammy worked together through the Monmouth County Conservation Foundation.
“Tammy and I, and our children, send our condolences to Dan’s wife Barbara, and their children, as well as to Governor Whitman. Dan had the spirit of a renaissance man, and we will cherish the stories he told of his adventures. We will miss him greatly.”
