Governor Murphy Orders Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of General Ray Odierno
TRENTON – Governor Phil Murphy today ordered that U.S. and New Jersey flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 to honor the passing of four-star general and New Jersey native General Raymond Thomas Odierno.
“General Odierno’s decades of selfless and valiant service to our nation are reflected in his many achievements,” said Governor Murphy. “As Chief of Staff of the Army, General Odierno provided invaluable leadership and guidance to our servicemembers. He will be dearly missed, and we give our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.”
