Statement from Governor Murphy on Today’s U.S. Supreme Court Oral Argument in New York v. New Jersey
“Today I was proud to see New Jersey present its case for withdrawing from the outdated Waterfront Commission to the Supreme Court of the United States. I want to extend a special thanks to New Jersey Solicitor General Jeremy Feigenbaum, who did an outstanding job arguing before the nine Justices, and to all of the attorneys who worked under Jeremy’s leadership to bring the case to this day. I am optimistic that New Jersey will prevail in this case and will finally be allowed to reclaim authority over its ports with a regulatory structure more suited for the 21st century.”
