Statement from Governor Murphy on Proposed $8.9 Billion Resolution of Johnson & Johnson Talc Litigation

I commend the parties who have come together and proposed a resolution of the talc litigation, which offers significant financial compensation and gives tens of thousands of plaintiffs and their families the opportunity to avoid years of protracted and uncertain litigation.  I am confident the class of plaintiffs will carefully consider this proposal before deciding how to move forward.
