All advertising must comply with Subchapter 5 “Advertising” within 30 days of its adoption. Violations may result in penalties or registration suspension.

Advertising as an Individual

Licensed Tree Experts (LTE) or Tree Care Operators (LTCO) must include their name, title (LTE or LTCO), and license number preceded by "#" in all tree care service advertisements. This format ensures proper identification and compliance across all types of advertising, including print, online, and signage.

Advertising by Business

Businesses may not advertise tree care services in New Jersey without Board registration. Ads must include the business name and “NJTC Registration” followed by the registration number (e.g., Red Oak Tree Experts, NJTC Registration #100). Only licensed services may be advertised. Noncompliance may lead to penalties or registration loss.

Advertising without a Business Registration

All advertising must comply with Subchapter 5 "Advertising" of the Board of Tree Experts rules within 30 days of their adoption. Failure to meet these requirements may result in civil administrative penalties being issued against the noncompliant individual or business.
