The New Jersey State as a Model Employer of People with Disabilities (SAME) program is a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering a more inclusive and diverse workforce within the State. Launched with the vision of setting high standards for employment practices, this program seeks to lead by example, promoting equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

In accordance with P.L. 2021, c. 465 and P.L. 2021, 466, the SAME program was established to enable New Jersey State agencies to hire, promote, retain, and advance qualified individuals whose physical or mental impairments impact their abilities to participate in the hiring and promotion process for non-competitive and unclassified titles within the State workforce.

SAME APPLICANTS: If you are applying under the NJ “SAME” program, you must submit your Schedule A or B letter, your resume and any other required supporting documents. For more information on the SAME Program please contact the Civil Service Commission at (609) 292-4144.
