NJ Doula Assistant Tool
Focus on care, not paperwork
New Jersey has created a new tool that clearly communicates the requirements of NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid)’s fee-for-service provider application. Our goal is to help doulas “focus on care, not paperwork” by helping doulas fill out a near-complete application to become a NJ FamilyCare community doula.
The NJ Doula Assistant is user-friendly online tool developed by the New Jersey Innovation Authority—in collaboration with New Jersey Department of Human Services, New Jersey Department of Health, and the New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority. Designed specifically for individual doulas, the tool simplifies and accelerates the NJ FamilyCare Fee-for-Service (FFS) enrollment process, helping users complete their applications quickly and with confidence.
By reducing administrative burdens, the NJ Doula Assistant empowers doulas to spend less time on paperwork and more time providing high-quality care to families across New Jersey.
For doulas who would prefer one-on-one help with their provider application, support is still available through our Doula Guides, who can be reached at mahs.doulaguide@dhs.nj.gov
