Leadership Experience And Development Conference (LEAD)
Leadership Experience And Development Conference is a two part conference that meets the needs of chapter officers and first year members.  The conference is conduct in early to mid-October. It includes a reflection program, workshops, sessions, and social activities.

Chapter Officer Leadership Training
One of the most important aspects of the FFA Organization is to create leaders that take on responsibilities with pride and determination. The FFA Organization provides many opportunities for this type of learning, but the most significant way is by serving as a Chapter FFA Officer.

By being a Chapter FFA Officer, the member has the opportunity to attend the Chapter Officer Leadership Training Conference, which is developed and presented by the New Jersey State FFA Officer Team. The two day event is filled with team building activities, leadership opportunities in public speaking, developing the POA, and even individual and team goal setting.

This Conference tends to be one of the first major events that Chapter FFA Officers get to personally meet and spend time with the State FFA Officers. COLT also helps to establish a good foundation for the upcoming year. Officers bond with other chapters and discover new ideas that could be implemented in their own chapter activities.

State Greenhand Conference
The state FFA needs to build a solid foundation from the start to ensure a future for the organization.  State Greenhand Conference (SGC), supported by the New Jersey FFA Alumni Association, provides first year members the chance to explore the FFA.  At SGC participants discover the opportunities in the FFA, goal setting, Supervised Agricultural Experience, and ag careers.

This conference is an excellent way to recruit future leaders in your chapter and to get young members enthusiastic about the FFA.
