State Officer Banquet Speech Workshop
State Officers are often invited to deliver keynote addresses at banquets and other formal FFA chapter events. The Alumni works with the state officers to help them improve their public speaking skills.
To give the State Officers the best practice opportunity possible, the Alumni hosts the State Officer Banquet Speech Workshop. This event is held just like a real banquet. Along with the Alumni, State Officer parents and local FFA advisors are invited to attend. Officers present their speech, in a friendly, yet realistic atmosphere. All attendees are asked to give feedback to the officers so they can improve even further.
State Officers are evaluated by an audience of parents, advisors and state FFA alumni members. The officers use this feedback to better prepare for chapter banquets.
Speech topics range from FFA opportunities to conquering fears. Chapters enjoy the motivational words of the state officers.
