At the DCF Regional School Warren Campus - our mission is to provide programs that strive to help all students receive a diploma from their local high school or return to their local school districts to complete their high school education. We provide individually designed education plans that support student’s strengths to meet their academic, social, and career needs. Every child has the potential to thrive and the programs we provide will give your children the future they deserve!

Description of Programs

Project TEACH (Teen Education and Child Health)

Project TEACH provides students with specialized academic instruction, life and parenting skills, and career guidance. This year-round instructional program is based on the individual needs and learning preferences of each student.

 Parenting teens participate in a hands-on learning lab to acquire parenting skills and additionally there is an on-site licensed day care center to provide infant and toddler care. The day care center provides a loving, safe, stimulating environment and developmentally age appropriate curriculum.

The mission of Project TEACH is to provide a comprehensive educational program to expecting and parenting moms and dads, giving them the skills needed to create a positive life for themselves and their children.

 

TEC (Transitional Education Center)

The Transitional Education Center (TEC) program is a community-based, State-operated alternative school designed to meet the needs of students who may need a smaller environment with more personal attention.

Students are primarily referred by New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) partners which include, community organizations, county juvenile and family courts, and local school districts.

The mission of TEC is to provide a comprehensive educational program for at-risk youth, giving them the skills needed to create a positive life, and to assist in promoting successful reintegration into future school, work, and community endeavors.

  • Child Study Team Services
  • Structured Learning Experiences (SLEs) and Work-Based Learning Experiences (WBLEs)
  • Instructional and Assistive Technology Services
  • NJ Certified Teachers
  • College and Career Exploration
  • Class Size Maximum of 12 Students
  • Potential Dual Enrollment for College Credits for Qualified Students
  • Related Services Such as Counseling and Speech Therapy as Required by Students IEPs, 504 Plans, and IPPs

Community Partnerships/Programs

County Council for Young Children
The County Council for Young Children assesses needs, concerns, aspirations and successes regarding issues that affect the health, education and wellbeing of their children. Through CCYC parents are supported in leadership roles and empowered to be a voice to better the lives of their children.

NORWESCAP Family Success Center
NORWESCAP Traditions Family Success Center (FSC) offers services to families and bring together concerned community residents, leaders, and agencies to address the problems that threaten the safety and stability of families and the community.

Healthy Families – TIP
Healthy Families provides early intervention and family support services helping expectant and new mothers build strong, healthy, relationships with their babies.

Nursing Family Partnerships
Nursing Family Partnerships is an evidence-based community health program that helps transform the lives of vulnerable mothers pregnant with their first child. Each mother is partnered with a registered nurse early in their pregnancy and receives ongoing nurse home visits that continue through the child’s second birthday. Nursing Family Partnerships also provides workshops for the students throughout the year.

Parents as Teachers – Cornerstone Family Programs
Parents as Teachers builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe and ready to learn.

Strengthening Families
Strengthening Families is an evidence-based approach that provides training and guidance which engages and supports the parents/families of infants and young children.
