Barnegat Bay Water Quality Sampling Video (wmv)
DEP employees in Water Monitoring and Standards have documented the story regarding where, how and why water samples are being collected and studied in the Barnegat Bay watershed.
By using simple narrative, visuals and video footage, the scientific procedures that DEP uses for fresh and saltwater sampling, sample processing and laboratory analysis, are explained in an informative and educational way.
The video is presented (below) in its entirety, as well as in sections. It can be used in classrooms and presentations statewide with secondary students through adults, as well as with scouts and volunteer groups, who would like to learn more about water monitoring.
