Delaware River Basin Commission Policy on Nondiscrimination in its Programs, Activities & Services

  • Listen to Nondiscrimination Policy (mp3)

The Delaware River Basin Commission (the "Commission") does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, marital status, familial status, gender, gender identity, affectional or sexual orientation, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait, military service or veteran status, genetic information or disability (collectively, "protected classes") in the administration of its programs, activities or services.

It is the Commission's policy to abide by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s ("EPA") implementing regulations codified at 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and related nondiscrimination laws.

These nondiscrimination laws require the Commission to ensure that all contractors, sub-contractors and sub-recipients awarded Commission contracts adhere to these laws and their implementing regulations.

Commission Nondiscrimination Coordinator

The Commission has designated Pam Bush, Esq., its Assistant General Counsel and Commission Secretary, as its employee with the responsibility of administering this Policy on Nondiscrimination.

Complaint Procedure

Persons who believe that, because of their protected classes, the Commission discriminated against them in connection with a Commission program, activity or service should contact the Commission Nondiscrimination Coordinator with a description of the alleged discrimination within 180 days from the date of occurrence of any violation of this policy at the following address:

Delaware River Basin Commission
Pam Bush, Commission Nondiscrimination Coordinator

or by email at:

Submission of a complaint to the Commission only initiates review by the Commission and not by the EPA. To file a nondiscrimination complaint with the EPA, please visit: https://www.epa.gov/external-civil-rights.
