The New Jersey Water Environment Association (NJWEA) held its 102nd Annual Conference from May 8-12, 2017 in Atlantic City, N.J.
Commission staff support NJWEA and its annual conference in various ways. This year, DRBC Water Resource Operations Manager Amy Shallcross, along with former DRBC Water Resource Management Branch Manager Bill Muszynski, moderated the conference's watershed management session. Bill retired from the commission in April 2016 and is a long-time member of NJWEA.
During the watershed management session, DRBC Director of Science and Water Quality Management Dr. Thomas Fikslin gave the following presentations:
- DRBC Water Quality Standards for Aquatic Life in the Delaware River Estuary: Status of Revision Process (pdf 2.3 MB)
- DRBC Implementation of Anti-Degradation Policies and Practices in the Delaware River Special Protection Waters (pdf 3.1 MB)
DRBC Water Resource Engineers Shane McAleer and Kendria Henson also attended the conference and provided education and outreach about DRBC to NJWEA members at its information booth.
NJWEA is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and improving New Jersey's waters through education, training, and information sharing on the latest technologies and scientific advancements.
