DRBC Participates in March Partner Outreach Events

This month, DRBC staff participated in several outreach events hosted by partners.

Delaware County Sustainability Conference

Staff participated in 5th Annual Sustainability Conference at Swarthmore College, hosted by Delaware County, Pa. Staff shared information about DRBC programs, in particular, our Water Resources Resilience Plan.

Matamoras Outdoor Sports Expo

DRBC staff attended the free Outdoor Sports Expo in Matamoras, Pa., hosted by Pa. State Representative Jeff Olsommer (PA-139). Staff had a great time chatting with attendees and other vendors about recreational opportunities in the region and our ongoing Creel Survey, which is a volunteer angler survey about their experiences fishing the waters of the Delaware River Basin.

Independence Seaport Museum's Drink the Delaware

DRBC staff participated in the inaugural Drink the Delaware celebration at the Independence Seaport Museum (ISM), Philadelphia, Pa. Hosted by ISM and Home Brewed Events, Drink the Delaware attendees enjoyed samples from local breweries, cideries, distilleries and more, as well as learned about how water is used in the process and why it's important to keep our region's waterways clean. Staff were on hand to talk about DRBC programs, in particular, how our work protecting source water quality ensures clean drinking water for millions.
