The Delaware River Basin lost a true river and safety steward with the passing of Richard 'Dick' Rhodes on April 17, 2012.

Dick was a founding member of the National Canoe Safety Patrol, volunteer with the National Park Service, and member of the Delaware River Sojourn steering committee. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
