Duplicate Diplomas
Once you have your access code, please visit Diploma Verification Process to use the access code. When you go to the link, you will see on the right-hand side of the page “Access to Official Records” as shown in the screenshot below.

Select Diploma Verification to download, save, and print an official duplicate copy of your diploma.
Once you do, the second screenshot below will pop up. You will then enter your access code. Put the access code ONLY in the area that says Access Code. Do not put the access code in where it says Verification Code. If you are trying to do this on your phone, you must go through Google Chrome to access the information properly.
Once you enter your access code, you will see your information. At the bottom of the page you will see the following:
Follow the instructions on the next page to view, download and save or print this PDF version of your Official Duplicate Diploma.
FAQ
Schools and employers are required to follow the New Jersey State diploma verification policy, or they are violating your civil rights by denying you access to education or employment, as it is the only method available to test takers. Please direct them to our FAQsand have them contact the Office of Adult Education if they have any questions.
A: Technology allows the NJ DOE to use access and verification codes. All individuals who have earned a state-issued high school diploma have an access code, and since May 2007 that code has been on the diploma and transcript. Either code can be used,
but not both at the same time, and are entered into the appropriate field, on the Diploma Verification Process webpage. That page has a link to accessing the transcript, and a separate link to access diploma verification. Both documents indicate passing and that a diploma was earned. The transcript is usually used for school or training, and the diploma verification for employment. Please note that the New Jersey Department of Education does not mail any document with a raised seal. Please direct anyone with questions about this policy to this document.
