2025 Summer Institute
We are pleased to invite all New Jersey educators to the 2025 Summer Institute. The institute will be held both in-person and virtually at Stockton University-Ocean Campus in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from August 4 to August 7, 2025. Please confirm your registration as soon as possible, as space is limited for both daily commuters and residents on the Stockton University, Atlantic City Campus. Registration will close on May 1, 2025. A registration fee of $100 is required to confirm your attendance. In-person attendance is limited to the first 120 confirmed registrants with fees paid. Program for the 2024 Summer Institute
We are happy to invite all New Jersey teachers to the 2024 Summer Institute. The institute will be held in-person and virtually at the College of New Jersey from July 29-August 1. Please confirm your registration as early as possible. Residential spaces for those who plan to reside on the College of New Jersey campus during the institute are very limited. Please complete the Registration by April 30, 2024.
Notice: Due to the outstanding registration numbers for the Amistad Commission 2024 Summer Institute, only virtual attendance option is available at this time. We will notify all virtual participants of any in-person availability by July 1st.
In 2023, the Amistad Commission held its Inaugural Summer Curriculum Institute for Teachers at William Paterson University (WPUNJ) in Wayne, NJ, July 17-July 20, 2023. The Commission’s theme was “Moments In African American History." Please take a look at the program, images and video from the event.
