Authorized to Teach

The Dental Assisting #4122 endorsement entitles the holder to teach in New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE)-approved career and technical education (CTE) courses in the following programs, and programs of study under the following Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) codes.

  • Dental health education
  • Dental hygiene
  • Dental materials and instruments
  • Dental pharmacology

Candidates must submit a copy of their current New Jersey occupational license or credential for one of the following options:

Option One
A current copy of their New Jersey State Registered Dental Assistant Certificate and New Jersey State Dental Radiologic Technologist License.
Option Two
A current copy of their New Jersey State Limited Registered Dental Assistant in Orthodontics Certificate and New Jersey State Dental Radiologic Technologist License.
Option Three
A current copy of their New Jersey Registered Dental Hygienist License.
Option Four
A current copy of their New Jersey Dental License.

Candidates using option 1 without the GPA exception are not required to have employment experience.
