Maximizing Federal Funds Sample Scenarios

The infusion of Federal ESSER funds into the U.S. education system provides an unprecedented opportunity to refocus teaching and learning to address students’ needs better. The NJDOE aims to support LEAs as they make strategic decisions about how best to sustain new efforts beyond the funding period. Below is a collection of sample scenarios for combining Federal funds and grant programs based on the Maximizing Federal Funds resource. By examining promising educational practices, engaging community stakeholders, and rethinking ways of spending existing Federal dollars, we can help meet all children’s health, social-emotional, and academic needs.
