Data and Monitoring
The New Jersey Office of Special Education (OSE) is responsible for supervising and monitoring the implementation of the federal requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA) in local education agencies (LEAs) which include all school districts. The state special education office provides leadership to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and to establish standards that promote improved outcomes for students with disabilities.
