Speed Restrictions Also Lifted
The Emergency Traffic Regulation Order that temporarily lowered all posted speed limits to 35 miles per hour on Interstate and State highways in New Jersey also will be lifted effective at 5 p.m. today, Monday, February 23. All vehicles may resume the posted speed limit on the following highways:
- All Interstate highways in New Jersey

- The Garden State Parkway
- The Atlantic City Expressway
NJDOT crews and contractors are expected to continue working throughout the night to continue cleanup efforts on Interstate and State highways to ensure roads are clear and safe. However, low temperatures causing refreeze and winds blowing snow may cause roads to be slippery. Road conditions can change quickly, use caution and slow down.
Avoid unnecessary travel and let crews continue to clear the roads.
