NEW YORK NEW JERSEY – The FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee today announced that four national teams—Brazil, Haiti, Morocco, and Senegal—have selected New Jersey as their official Team Base Camp locations for the tournament. With four Team Base Camps selected, New York New Jersey is among the most chosen host regions in North America, reflecting the depth of its training infrastructure, regional accessibility, and readiness to support teams throughout the entire tournament.

“New Jersey is excited to welcome the world to our state for eight World Cup matches, including the World Cup Final. This is a once-in-a-generation event, and we are proud that New Jersey will be at the very center of the festivities, hosting not only millions of soccer fans but also four national teams that have chosen to make our state their base of operations for the duration of the tournament,” said New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill. “We are thrilled that Brazil, Haiti, Morocco, and Senegal have decided to call the Garden State home, bringing the World Cup directly to communities across our state and driving economic activity throughout the region. Their decision underscores what we know to be true: New Jersey is a premier destination for world-class events and tourism.”

“When teams from four different continents choose New York New Jersey as their home away from home, it reflects the global strength of our region,” said Alex Lasry, CEO of the New York New Jersey Host Committee. “As one of the most diverse regions in the world, these teams will be welcomed to communities that already know and celebrate them, creating an atmosphere of pride and connection throughout the tournament. We look forward to their arrivals, which will drive economic impact and increased tourism while showcasing the diversity, infrastructure, and connectivity that make New York New Jersey ready to host the world.”

The selection of Team Base Camps is expected to generate meaningful economic and tourism impact, including hotel stays, local business activity, and global exposure for host communities, while creating opportunities for residents to engage with the tournament beyond matchdays.

Brazil
Team Base Camp: Columbia Park Training Center (Morris Township, New Jersey)

Brazil, the only team to win a FIFA World Cup on U.S. soil in 1994, will base its tournament preparations at the Columbia Park Training Center located in Morris Township, New Jersey, a premier complex built to support elite international competition.

The Columbia Park Training Center sits across 32 hectares, includes two natural grass pitches and a modern team building designed to meet professional football standards, making it an ideal base for one of the tournament’s most iconic teams as it competes in the New York New Jersey region. Brazil will play a Group Stage match at New York New Jersey Stadium on June 13.

"We are very pleased with this decision. The Training Center is new, modern and offers all the conditions for our work, before and during the World Cup. I want to thank Red Bulls for welcoming us and showing us all the space, which was also sought after by other teams,” said Brazil National Team Head Coach Carlo Ancelotti in a statement published on the Brazilian Football Confederation's (CBF) official website.

“We are proud to welcome the Brazilian National Team to Columbia Park as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup,” said Marc de Grandpré, President & General Manager, Red Bulls New York. “Our Performance Center was built to serve the highest levels of the global game. Brazil’s decision to base here reflects the quality, innovation, and competitive standards embedded in this facility. It will be an honor to support one of the sport’s most iconic teams on football’s biggest stage.”

Haiti
Team Base Camp: Stockton University (Galloway, New Jersey)

Haiti will base its tournament preparations at Stockton University, a highly regarded public university that extends the FIFA World Cup 2026 footprint into southern New Jersey. Training in the New York New Jersey region, with its strong and growing Haitian American community, Haiti’s presence highlights the global reach of the tournament and the diverse communities that make the region a welcoming home for teams from around the world.

Stockton University provides a supportive, high-quality training environment while offering access to regional venues and meaningful opportunities for community and fan engagement. The campus features a 1,500-seat stadium with a grass pitch, a multi-purpose sports center that includes training facilities, fitness areas, and meeting spaces.

“Stockton University is honored to be selected as a Team Base Camp for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This recognition affirms the strength of our athletic facilities and the dedication of our staff, who have worked tirelessly to create an environment where the world’s best athletes can train, learn and feel at home,” said Stockton President Joe Bertolino. “We welcome Haiti to our beautiful campus this summer to participate in the largest sporting event in the world.”

“We’re extremely excited, grateful and honored that Stockton University has been selected by the Haitian National Team for their FIFA World Cup 2026 Team Base Camp,” said Jeff Haines, associate director of Athletics and Recreation at Stockton University. “Last summer, we had an amazing experience hosting one of the most popular teams in the world, CR Flamengo, for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. Our collaboration with FIFA and CR Flamengo provided an environment for Flamengo to flourish, winning their group and advancing into the knockout stage of the tournament. Stockton University is one of the few Team Base Camps nationwide that has hosted the 1994 FIFA World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and the FIFA World Cup 2026. We’re embracing the successful tradition of Team Base Camps at Stockton and looking forward to hosting Haiti as our latest National Team.”

Morocco
Team Base Camp: The Pingry School (Basking Ridge, New Jersey)

Morocco will base its tournament preparations at The Pingry School, training at a high-quality athletic facility as the team competes in FIFA World Cup 2026 matches hosted in the New York New Jersey region. The team’s presence reflects the cultural diversity of New York and New Jersey and the region’s deep ties to global football communities. Morocco will face Brazil at NYNJ Stadium on June 13, bringing one of the tournament’s marquee Group Stage matchups to the region.

The Pingry School also served as a training site during the 1994 FIFA World Cup, reinforcing the region’s longstanding role in supporting teams competing on the world stage. The Miller Bugliari ’52 World Cup Field, home of Pingry Football, has long served as a training venue for top clubs and was renovated in 2025. It now features two international-standard grass pitches, modern amenities and an athletics center designed for elite preparation.

“We’re honored that Morocco has chosen Pingry as its home base for the FIFA World Cup 2026,” said Tim Lear, Head of School, The Pingry School. “We are excited to be able to support a team competing at the highest level, and we’re proud that our facilities can provide an environment that meets their needs.”
Senegal
Team Base Camp: Rutgers University (Piscataway, New Jersey)

Senegal will base its tournament preparations at Rutgers University, New Jersey’s flagship public research university, reflecting the role of public institutions in supporting world-class international events and generating pride across the state. The Miller Practice Fields at Rutgers University provide two Kentucky Bluegrass pitches, with a sand base supported by modern irrigation and drainage, and premier athletic facilities.

Senegal will compete in two Group Stage matches at NYNJ Stadium, facing France on June 16 and Norway on June 22, bringing global attention and high-profile international competition to the New York New Jersey region.

“Selecting New York New Jersey as our base reflects the high standards we look for in preparing for a tournament of this magnitude,” said Abdoulaye FALL, President of the Senegalese Federation FSF. “Rutgers University provides the facilities and environment our team needs to train at the highest level, and we look forward to competing in front of passionate fans when we take the field at New York New Jersey Stadium.”

“We are honored to welcome the Senegal National Team to Rutgers University as the team's official training base for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and to be a part of the world's largest global sports event,” said Rutgers President William F. Tate IV. “New Jersey is the number one state in the country for soccer interest, and we’re excited that the state’s flagship university will host these world-class athletes.”

“We are thrilled to welcome the Senegal National Team to our campus as part of its preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026,” said Director of Athletics Keli Zinn. “Rutgers sits at the center of a region with a deep connection to the global game and a passionate soccer community.
