Hospital Performance Report

The Hospital Performance Report has three goals:

  • Provide consumers with a picture of how well individual New Jersey hospitals deliver quality healthcare so that they can make informed decisions about choosing a hospital.
  • Improve the quality of care delivered in New Jersey by promoting healthy competition among hospitals to improve their performance in healthcare delivery.
  • Promote self-awareness among hospitals on how they are performing compared to their New Jersey peers as well as the rest of the nation so that they can identify areas that need improvement to deliver the best care to their patients.

Data in the report are for all New Jersey acute care hospitals for 2021.
