Media Advisory: Stay Safe this Summer! 120 Fourth Grade Students to Watch Safety Demonstrations

Health and Senior Services Commissioner Mary E. O'Dowd and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Arturo Brito will join Children and Families Commissioner Allison Blake, Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz and more than 100 4d graders to discuss summer safety on Wednesday, June 13, at the Raritan Bay Area YMCA in Perth Amboy.

Staying safe at the pool and on the playground, proper bicycle safety, and being sure to know about fire safety will all be topics that are discussed and demonstrated to the children at the event.  A nutritionist will make healthy snacks and Perth Amboy fire safety officials will stage a demonstration to teach children how to escape a burning building.
