As part of the Christie Administration's Season of Service, Health Commissioner Mary E. O'Dowd will deliver toys donated by Department staff to patients in PSE&G Children's Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick on Monday, December 17 at 2 pm. The Commissioner will also read a children's holiday story, The Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats to a group of young patients in the third floor playroom.

Commissioner O'Dowd will join Children's Specialized Hospital President/CEO Amy Mansue in the lobby to deliver the toys and pose for photos. Children's Specialized Hospital is the largest pediatric rehabilitation health system in the U.S. It serves 20,000 children each year at 10 sites who are affected by brain injury, spinal cord dysfunction and injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses. Season of Service Last year, Cabinet members participated in 60 events statewide-- from serving meals on wheels to shut-ins and helping to serve and stock food pantries to stuffing care packages for military service members overseas and holiday letter writing to troops abroad to collecting and delivering coats to homeless shelters.
