Docket® / myHealthNJ.com Makes It Easy to Stay Up to Date on Life-Saving Immunizations
New Jersey Expands Docket App to Improve Access to Immunization Records and Support Communicable Disease Prevention
TRENTON, NJ – The New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) is reminding residents about the myHealthNJ.com web portal and Docket® app, a free and secure tool for easily accessing personal and family immunization records. As vaccine-preventable diseases like measles continue to see outbreaks nationwide, now is the time for families to ensure their vaccinations are up to date.
Docket and myHealthNJ.com make it simple to view, download, and share official immunization records for school enrollment, sports participation, work requirements, travel, and personal medical recordkeeping. Parents and guardians can conveniently retrieve their child’s records and share them with schools, camps, and childcare facilities. The app and web portal were recently expanded to also include critical childhood lead test results to support early intervention and prevention of lead poisoning.
Residents can access their vaccination history and child blood lead test results through the Docket app, available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Additionally, users can visit myHealthNJ.com to access their vaccine history online.
Vaccines protect individuals, families, and communities from serious and sometimes life-threatening diseases. With the recent measles outbreaks in various parts of the country, ensuring protection against measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) is more important than ever.
- Measles is highly contagious – One infected person can spread the virus to 90% of the unvaccinated individuals that they encounter.
- Measles can lead to serious complications, including pneumonia, encephalitis (brain swelling), and even death.
- MMR vaccine is safe and effective, with two doses providing 97% protection against measles.
Through Docket and myHealthNJ.com, residents can:
- Quickly check immunization status for themselves and their children.
- Download and print records for school, work, or travel.
- Receive reminders for upcoming vaccinations.
- Maintain records for the entire family in one place.
Vaccination records in Docket and myHealthNJ.com depend on health care providers submitting data to the New Jersey Immunization Information System (NJIIS).
Pediatric records are more likely to be complete because state law requires all vaccine doses administered to children under seven years old to be reported to NJIIS. Adolescent and adult records may be incomplete, as historical immunization data may exist only on paper-based records and might not have been entered into the NJIIS system. If you do not see your full immunization history in the app or web portal, contact your health care provider or submit an NJIIS Record Update Request Form.
Docket was introduced in summer 2021 to provide digital access to COVID-19 vaccine and booster records, ensuring that individuals could easily retrieve their immunization status when needed. Since its launch, Docket has expanded to include all available immunization records stored in NJIIS as well as child lead test results. As of March 2025, Docket has approximately 3.2 million active users and is currently available in 27 languages.
Docket adheres to federal and state standards for data security and privacy to protect individuals’ information. NJIIS records include the individual’s name, phone number, and demographic details that were shared at the time of vaccination.
Vaccines are one of the most effective tools available to prevent disease and save lives. Ensuring you and your children are up to date on vaccinations helps prevent the spread of dangerous illnesses and protects those who are most vulnerable.
